For twenty years I have lived, served and worked in East Portland.

I’ve learned how to serve the public from some incredible public servants, including my former boss and mentor Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish when I served as his senior policy advisor, and Senator Jeff Merkley before that. Earlier on I worked in the David Douglas School District to support and protect middle school students from falling into the gang life. And in the midst of all that I’ve been a champion of musicians and music policy in Portland (and yes, I used to be in a band!).

In my time here I’ve met with hundreds of neighbors, families, children, and business owners. I’ve met seventh-generation Portlanders and newly arrived immigrants. Listening to the lived experiences of our neighbors has always been a profound privilege for me. And now I’m ready to fight for our community in City Hall because I believe that Portland needs leaders who have the experience in the community, know where we’re coming from, have a plan for where we go next. I know how to shape policy and achieve wins that benefit everyone in the community, and I’m ready to do that from Day One.

I can’t wait to help guide Portland through it’s next great chapter!
