A POLICY MIND, READY TO LEAD ON DAY ONE
I’ve been working in public policy for 14 years. I’ve learned how to get real results out of Portland’s complicated bureaucracy and I’ll be ready to lead in this new system of government. We can’t afford to have the next Portland City Council learn on the job. We need action and progress right away!
I have years of experience building coalitions and collaboration across governments on complicated issues, and getting laws passed that brought real solutions. I refuse to accept the usual response of how it’s “someone else’s job”.
It’s my job to get results.
I love Portland. This is my home and where my wife and I chose to raise our family. But along the way we’ve lost some of what makes Portland special.

Living in Portland has allowed me to live a lot of different lives. I’m a dad and a husband. I’m a musician and an artist, a backpacker and wilderness lover. I was small business owner and a long-time public servant. For 20 years I’ve been serving the people of East Portland, fighting to improve the lives of individuals and the broader community. I’ve worked with incredible public servants who showed me how government can be a tool to make people’s lives just a little easier. I love this place. And like you, I believe that our best days are yet to come.
